An independent study of what people actually want from AI

Enterprise Sponsorships

If your organization is interested in sponsoring our work, we have outlined corporate tiers to show how companies can get involved. See our main page if you'd like to contribute as an individual.

AI On Human Terms is independent research which means no sponsor shapes the findings.

What enterprise sponsors get instead is something more valuable: early access to honest data about what your employees, customers, and markets actually want from AI.

Small Businesses

Small businesses are being flooded with AI promises from vendors with something to sell. Most don't know what's actually worth their time or money.

This project gives them something independent: an honest picture of where people like them are with AI, what's working, what isn't, and what would actually make a difference  without the sales pitch.

Why it matters:

  • Understand what your customers and employees actually want from AI

  • Avoid tools that don't fit your real situation

  • Make clearer decisions about where to start

  • Build at a pace that works for your people, not your vendor's roadmap

Modern Office Scene

Enterprise Teams

Large organizations are spending heavily on AI. Many are still struggling to understand why adoption stalls, why trust is slow to build, and why pilots don't scale into practice.

The answer is usually human, not technical. This project provides independent, people-first evidence to help organizations understand what their people actually need from AI  before they invest further in tools and rollouts built on assumptions.

Why it matters:

  • Understand the human conditions that make AI work — or stall — in your organization

  • Build strategies grounded in what people actually want, not vendor benchmarks

  • Identify trust and support gaps earlier, before they become expensive

  • Make better decisions about buying, scaling, and change management

Enterprise Tiers

Sponsors receive early access to findings. They do not shape the research questions, methods, or results.  That independence is what makes this data worth having.

Independence & Transparency Charter

This charter is the backbone of the project.

It’s how we ensure the world gets something it can trust.

1. No sponsor or backer can influence the research

No enterprise, vendor, or individual can edit, shape, cancel, or bias the findings.

2. All methods are published openly

Sampling, analysis, frameworks, and limitations are shared publicly.

3. All deliverables are public

The benchmark report, segment profiles, tools, and assessments are free and accessible.

4. No hidden agenda

We are not selling a product. We are building a public resource.

5. No enterprise influence

Enterprise backers receive early access, not editorial control.

6. Radical transparency

We build in public, publish updates, and show our work as it develops.
